Thanks! I absolutely love this guy.
Actually, I say that now. He really scared the **(&@#$ out of me. I turned around, and he was right behind me. Growling. Loudly.
And, the suit, when you're not expecting it...makes you go O.o o.O O.O;;
*^^* As far as the camera goes..its nice. But, unless you really need the waterproofing, and use the camera in extreme conditions...there are much better bargains out there as far as quality cameras go.
Not that I'm downing on it, however...wouldn't trade it for the world...but still. *^^*~

Lol. At least he plays the role rather well then. But that would give me a start as well.
Oh there are definitely better bargains out there. I won't hesitate to say that Canon can be pretty pricey. However, I do prefer Canon's picture quality over others. I've been drooling over the 1Ds Mark III for the longest time. I just can't justify the purchase at my skill level.

Yeah, I had to do the same thing, honestly. I shoot weddings, sporting events, as well as general everyday photos. With that, my camera sees a bit of abuse. Had to weigh out what the pros and cons for each camera when it came to buy a second 'backup' body for an EOS 40D.
I really wanted to try out a full frame Canon (only choice for full frame, since I had the lenses already for the system)...and it was a decision between a 5D, 5DmkII, and a 1Ds MKII.
Even though the 5Dmk II has a "newer sensor" and more megapixels..I don't generally blow up photos too much past poster size. So, the 5d mkII was out, for the price tag. I kinda wanted the rugged camera over the 5d...so I chose the 1Ds MKII.
Honestly...the thing is a tank. That's its #1 selling point. To heck with image quality (which is fantastic), AF speed (also fantastic), and everything else. I can drop it into a puddle of water...and not cry. Too much. *^^*

Lol. It's hard not cry if that happens. Even if it's made to take it.
A friend of mine has a 5D Mark II, and while I'll say it is one hell of a nice camera and the video option is pretty sweet, it still can't beat the picture quality of the 1Ds series or the AF or ruggedness.
I've seen larger than poster blow ups of 10MP photos from a 1D Mark II and it was pretty awesome.
Some day I'll get to that skill level to get a Canon full frame. Till then it's practice, practice, practice.

Hehehehe. Honestly, that suit is in my top 5 suits I saw at Anthrocon. Not only is the suit impressive to look at, the way he's played is equally stunning. Especially with the growls, the way they move in the suit, and his looks, stance, and the character in general.
Very, very, VERY well done...all of the way around.
Once again, though - I couldn't imagine waking up next to that, hehehehe. *^^* Although, I have to admit, the thought of running from that makes me perk my ears. *^^*~
