wartime. was laying on the ground wounded and the allies bombed their own city to drive the enemy away. one of those bombs just happened to land near the wounded Kory and blew off his leg, arm, and eye...again, he got really lucky it was just this and nothin else. Kory was still a hero though, cause the enemy ran when they saw him fly into the air as a last resort. that's what started the chain reaction
