For this "Throwback Thursday", I have another 'photo-op' pertaining to "Hurricane Irma", as described in my two-part journal - http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/8400610/ and http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/8417741/ - with a happy ending for yours truly...
After spending two-and-a-half days in an emergency shelter (Monarch High School in Coconut Creek, Florida) with other evacuees, I finally returned to my home at the Oriole Gardens condo complex in Margate on Monday, September 11, 2017. (Instead of taking a special shuttle bus, I was delivered by police car by an officer of the C.C.P.D.)
No only did my condo building escape the wrath of Irma, so did most of the other buildings of the same complex (apart from a few shingles blown off the roof, and a number of uprooted trees and broken branches strewn all over the place). More importantly, my brother Glenn - who stayed inside his apartment during the storm - was also a survivor.
So, I had his downstairs neighbor use the digital camera feature of my tablet, and take a picture of the two of us (with some of the damaged trees in the parking lot, in the background), for posterity.
