Halloween Advents 2017 (Closed)
Alright, we've waited a full year, and now the season of spooks is upon us, so let's break out this bad boy and get started!
Same thing as every year, but for those who need a refresher, what we have right here is my annual Halloween Advent Calendar! Each day has a mysterious little ghost that either shows a title or theme, and is numbered 1 through 31 for each day of October! Each ghostie has a story located below to give you a hint as to what they're hiding, and when the day reaches the number on the calendar, that adopt will be uploaded!
The art style for these is pretty standard, so they'll look something like this:
Male Anthro example
Female humanoid example
Female anthro example
Each one also comes with a color palette and eye reference (if applicable!) on the nice forest-y background I've made up for these babes!
In any case, these are all $18 or 1800 apiece!
And without further ado, let's begin!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Intro
My invitations to the party have gone out, and as such, all manner of visitors have arrived. One by one, I find my woods filling up with all manner of friends--and fiends--oftentimes in the same form. As the honored Host, I have done my best to document my guests, listed as such below.
1. [THALASSOPHOBIA] From the depths of the darkened swampy waters came one of my dearest friends, a swamp beast to which none can compare. His lithe blackened form is marked by shimmering golden swirls, indicating both his dark beauty and inherent toxicity. Despite this, I took his hand in welcome, as I would any other, and though his scaled face beheld little emotion, I could tell he was quite pleased with his early arrival.
2. [ENVY] And who to come next but my delighted consort, Envy! As one of the Seven, she has graced my woods oft over the past millennia, but as always, I am drawn to her much like moth to a flame. Her long horns glimmer like diamonds in the emerald mist that surrounds her, and one cannot help but shiver knowing that her many eyes trace not only upon our bodies, but upon our very souls as well. After all, there is nothing Envy sees that she does not want, and what Envy wants, envy must have at all costs....
3.[CLOWN] On the third day of my fete, I was pleased to welcome a kindly soul known as a clown. Being as his species is more recent creation, I was unused to his rather gaudy and multi-limbed form, but his manic merriment may win me over yet. I look forward each morning to what tricks he reveals next, though as the days go by, the blood staining my grassy carpet seems to be soaking deeper and deeper into the earth...
4. [ABDUCTION] A kindly alien dropped by today. Fresh from the stars, she seemed a bit lost, and as I am nothing but a good Host, I was more than happy to give her directions to the nearest settlement. It seems her business revolved around taking a few guests to a party herself...or perhaps that was a mistranslation..? Ah, what of it, for when I gazed upon her cephalopodic form I knew she had naught but good intentions in mind, and with a brief shake of her tentacles, I bid her on her way.
5. [UNHOLY RITUAL] Ahhh, now here is a gentleman I've not seen in quite some time. Crossing into this realm has caused him quite a bit of trouble, but we can't just have high ranking daemons running amok in the living realms, now can we? Regardless, he sat back on his haunches with a huff, and with a swig of his wine, he was more than willing to tell me of his stories of agonies and violence, of which there were many. ...Perhaps it was not the best idea to invite him so early...
6. [THE PIT] My old friend has surfaced once again! Nearly a week in and he came stumbling along, and how dearly delighted I was to see him once more! With a maw like an unholy combination of lamprey and the abyss, my dear friend THE PIT sees not with his eyes, but echolocation! What a truly fascinating being he is, having chosen this time to host himself in the body of what appears to be a young man...perhaps a lost hiker? Regardless, I am happy to have him with us, no matter the corruption he inflicts upon his physical form.
7.[GLUTTONY] Not to be outdone by her sister, the second youngest of the Seven arrived at exactly week's end. A manticore by any other name could never compare to the beauty of gluttony, and though her form may be a bit corpulent, she is truly gorgeous no matter what her size. After all, be it food, wine, souls, or pleasure itself, Gluttony devours it all, and there is no tongue more appreciative than hers...though it is less than wise to come that close to her awaiting lips, of course.
8. [THE UNDEAD] A bird by any other name would still be my accomplice in exploring the realms beyond life and death itself! A higher tiered lich I have not known, and this vulture seems to have a hand in almost every undead uprising around...er..I guess wing would be more accurate than hand, but I digress.
9. [HUNTER] This human strode onto my grounds uninvited, seeking not shelter but the tracks of a beast of which he has been hunting for some time. It appears as though he had been called upon by a nearby village to hunt this pesky creature down, as it has been tearing through their fields and leaving bloodied carcasses of farm beasts nigh everywhere it goes. Eyeing his double axes warily, I bid him on his way as this is no place for business, holy crusade or not.
10. [THE HUNTED] This chupacabra appears to have been the one that the HUNTER had come after, and greatly thanked me for my patronage as I offered him safety upon my lands. He hardly seems the cruel and monstrous type that the HUNTER described, but...there are clear bloodstains upon that beastly maw of his, and in those eyes I see a dark hunger. Regardless, so long as he behaves himself, he is more than welcome to stay for as long as my grand party continues. T'would be rude to refuse an honored guest, after all.
(Anthro, male: sold to harpygolucky on da)
11. [TENTACLES] A newcomer to my party, this elegant siphonophore/cephalopod hybrid has no arms yet infinite arms at the same time. Each one of her many tendrils coil restlessly as I bid her welcome, and while her bosom may be prodigious, her facial features are more than enough to put me off of the idea of lusting after her entirely. ....However, she seems to be getting along quite well with a few of my earlier guests, Thalassophobia especially, so perhaps I am simply immune to her charms?
(Anthro, female: sold to crystalline-caverns on da)
12. [LUST] Gods willing, I must say I have invited the most beautiful and cruel creature to grace my fete so far. With every step of her cloven hooves she draws wide eyed stares, and it's hard to imagine a more powerful succubus than she. As third of the Seven, Lust has more than mastered the art of attraction, and she most certainly holds the heart of every man, and woman, in this forest. I only hope she doesn't get into yet another tizzy with her youngest sibling Lust before month's end, but those are worries for another day.
13. [LUCKY THIRTEEN] The wildest night of our party has at last come upon us! With the dawn of Friday the 13th we resurrect our party anew and drink from sun up to sundown, reveling in the glory of the luckiest day of all! It is good I am writing this down now, for I am sure by night's end I will be far too inebriated to pen these words down...let alone remember our newest guest!
14. [THE FALLEN] After the revelry of the 13th, I am admittedly a bit tired, and it was only by the grace of the purest angel that I was able to recover from my..er...prodigious hangover. With eyes like obsidian, the holy creature swept my impurities away from me, taking them into himself as he has all other sins. ...Of course, this act only served to further corrupt his visage, and I felt a deep sorrow for the clear stains upon his angelic form.
(Humanoid, male: Sold to
15. [AVARICE] As greedy as always, Avarice hardly made it through the gates before digging into the goodies I've supplied my guests. His compulsion to hoard things is quite in line with his draconic heritage, but...as the fourth of the Seven, his desires seem to be stronger than any I've ever seen. Regardless of his need to take what others have, Avarice gets along quite well with the others, his jovial disposition nearly contagious, so I could hardly deny him his desires.
(Humanoid, male: sold to ultimoth on da)
16. [THE UNKNOWN] This odd beast is an old friend of mine, having gone back all the way to the 1960's when I met them in West Virginia. Not quite man, but not quite moth, they have a bit of an insecurity issue, but I am certain spending some time amongst my other guests will surely bolster their confidence. There might not be a lot of insectoid guests at the moment, but surely my dear mothman will find a way to blend in one way or another.
(Anthro, genderless, sold to
17. [SWAMP GOD] Ahh, now here is a friend I have not seen in some time! Direct from the swamps of Scape Ore, this hulking lizardlike beast is truly one of a kind. His scales shimmer over his surprisingly well built frame, and as I look into his sickly yellowish eyes, I see not only the eyes of a cruel beast, but a glimmer of deep intelligence and wit. While he may not come from the most sophisticated of backgrounds, I am always glad to have him by my side.
(Anthro, male: Sold to
banthamilk
18. [WENDIGO] An old acquantance of mine to be sure, my humble beast the Wendigo made his way into my party quite late, which is rather surprising considering his speed and insight into the forest are nigh unmatched by any other being. Regardless, it took some time for me to procure meats to match his rather peculiar taste, so perhaps it was for the best he took his time this year...especially considering how few human visitors I receive.
(Anthro, male: sold to
19. [SLOTH] Perhaps drawn to the clamor and song that now fills my domain, Sloth crept their way into the party before laying down for a rest, wine in hand as they began to doze off. As fifth of the Seven, I by no means could find offense in their behavior, but...I'm still rather surprised the godly tapir is able to drift off so quickly. ...In fact, by the looks of them, I'm guessing that is in fact the -only- thing they do quickly.
(Anthro, genderless: sold to iviv44 on da)
20. [SPORE] As morning came, a fine mist began to spread throughout the encampment, causing a few of my guests to suffer from some mild allergies as my latest friend approached. For on this day, a rather problematic guest had taken root, quite literally, at my party. As an infectious cordyceps type plantman, I could hardly blame Spore for the spreading of his roots--and trademark spores--but at the same time, I would consider it common courtesy to reign it in a bit...
(Humanoid, male: sold to valeweaver on da)
21. [THE WITCH] A new arrival to our fold, the Witch shows promise and I am more than willing to indulge her in manifesting her newly awakened powers. Taking precautions against the aerial infection of Spore, she has donned a newly sewn jacket and mask to aid in her breathing, channeling the powers of rot from the spirits of crows to keep herself healthy. However, while her powers may be immense, but her true body still remains that of a fragile human... Such is the tenuous duality of a witch, one must suppose!
(Humanoid, female: sold to blue-porcupine on da)
22. [THE DEEP] It is no wonder that my latest guest took so long to arrive; after all, making the journey from the bottom of the ocean is no mere feat, and though any kaiju my traverse its depths, only one of true power can make it successfully to land without trouble! While his looks may be reminiscent of that of a mantis shrimp, one can still see glimmers of intelligence within his eyes...though from the way he eyes up Thalassophobia and Tentacles, I feel a mild concern that the glimmer represents not only intelligence, but hunger as well.
(Anthro, male: sold to ultimoth on da)
23. [CHEF'S CHOICE] With the coming twilight hour I was startled to encounter a most curious creature! It seemed to be everything I loved and treasured all in one, and I was more than happy to welcome them into my fold! Marvellous both in form and mind, we celebrated 'till the sun rose once more, and I wish nothing more than to see them again in the coming year!
(Special night! This is my birthday, so I will be doing whatever I want for this one, and it's a total surprise! If you know the kind of things I like to draw, you might already know what they'll be...but you won't know for sure until this babe is revealed! 8) Happy birthday to meeeee <3 ) Sold to maximusgrowler on da
24. [WRATH] With the thundering of hooves like a Summer's storm, Wrath made her appearance on the field with a furied snort. A real Jersey Devil at heart, Wrath isn't the second eldest of the Seven for nothing, and getting on her bad side always tends to make things a little more...racous to say the least. At least most of her other siblings are here to keep her somewhat calm, I'd very much like all my guests to leave this place in one piece!
(Female, anthro: Sold to
ladyvenommyotismon
25. [ELDRITCH] Stepping through the dimensional rift, one of my dearest and oldest friends arrived, her lithe body twisting and turning in fashions almost impossible to describe--or even remember for that matter! Thankfully, at my suggestion this year she decided to utilize a mask to help preserve the sanity of the weaker minded that frequent my party, but thanks to her endlessly writhing tendrils it does little to disguise her otherwordly nature.
(Female, antrho: sold to Showakoi on da
26. [ARACHNOPHOBIA] A Drider by any other name still wouldn't be as sweet. ...Er, well, I wouldn't classify him as sweet, but despite his rather intimidating size and appearance, Arachnophobia has been nothing but a gentle soul to both my guests and myself. If anything, at this point he's become rather pretentious, often offering fashion advice to some of my less than..ah...sophisticated partygoers.
(Humanoid, male: sold to anony-prince on da
27. [THE VISITOR] Two alien guests in one month, surely a prodigious sign indeed! It seems that the Abductor from the fifth night made mention of my celebration, and as a result, a friend of hers dropped by to investigate. He seems a bit more cautious than our previous visitor, however, and with his mask covering his facial features, it makes it hard to judge exactly what he is. However, the long segmented structures sprouting from his back seem to indicate a more insectoid being...perhaps he'll find a kindred spirit with Arachnophobia?
(Humanoid, male: sold to PopcornPug on da )
28. [THE PARASITE] I was delighted to welcome not one, but two guests to the festitivites tonight, and while their relationship may be a bit odd, it is nothing out of the norm for these woods. Their muscular body towers over some of our other guests, but despite those long claws fumbling with the glasses, we've yet to have any major incidents beyond a few surprised guests who weren't aware of this gentleman's...erm..nature, to put it politely.
(Anthro, male: sold to
senkait
29. [PRIDE] Fashionably late to the party as always, Pride strolled into the party, his armor clanking with every step of his beastly paws. This kaiju is certainly larger than life, and as eldest of The Seven, he has more than enough power--and confidence--to back it up. Of course, his entrance often belays the beginning of the end, and I can't help but feel a bit bittersweet as the nights draw to a close once more.
(Anthro, male: sold to Tarje on da)
30. [DOPPELGAENGER] I..don't quite remember inviting this guest to the party, has he already arrived..? I don't..I don't quite know what to make of him..or is that a her? It would be horrendously impolite to ask, but every time I look it seems as though their appearance has changed, at times they appear to look like a mirror image of myself..! Perhaps I will let this partygoer be, they don't seem particularly harmful.
(Special night! This is a semi-custom where the buyer is allowed to choose the themes from any combination of previous nights and pop them together into one horrific amalgamation!)
(Any species, any gender: sold to TreeofChaia on da)
31. [SAMHAIN] It seems rather vain to write about oneself, is it not..? I fear I must refrain saying too much until the 31st has come.
A real Jersey Devil at heart, Wrath isn't the second eldest of the Seven for nothing, and getting on her bad side always tends to make things a little more...racous to say the least. At least most of her other siblings are here to keep her somewhat calm, I'd very much like all my guests to leave this place in one piece!
(Female, anthro: Sold to
25. [ELDRITCH] Stepping through the dimensional rift, one of my dearest and oldest friends arrived, her lithe body twisting and turning in fashions almost impossible to describe--or even remember for that matter! Thankfully, at my suggestion this year she decided to utilize a mask to help preserve the sanity of the weaker minded that frequent my party, but thanks to her endlessly writhing tendrils it does little to disguise her otherwordly nature.
(Female, antrho: sold to Showakoi on da
26. [ARACHNOPHOBIA] A Drider by any other name still wouldn't be as sweet. ...Er, well, I wouldn't classify him as sweet, but despite his rather intimidating size and appearance, Arachnophobia has been nothing but a gentle soul to both my guests and myself. If anything, at this point he's become rather pretentious, often offering fashion advice to some of my less than..ah...sophisticated partygoers.
(Humanoid, male: sold to anony-prince on da
27. [THE VISITOR] Two alien guests in one month, surely a prodigious sign indeed! It seems that the Abductor from the fifth night made mention of my celebration, and as a result, a friend of hers dropped by to investigate. He seems a bit more cautious than our previous visitor, however, and with his mask covering his facial features, it makes it hard to judge exactly what he is. However, the long segmented structures sprouting from his back seem to indicate a more insectoid being...perhaps he'll find a kindred spirit with Arachnophobia?
(Humanoid, male: sold to PopcornPug on da )
28. [THE PARASITE] I was delighted to welcome not one, but two guests to the festitivites tonight, and while their relationship may be a bit odd, it is nothing out of the norm for these woods. Their muscular body towers over some of our other guests, but despite those long claws fumbling with the glasses, we've yet to have any major incidents beyond a few surprised guests who weren't aware of this gentleman's...erm..nature, to put it politely.
(Anthro, male: sold to
29. [PRIDE] Fashionably late to the party as always, Pride strolled into the party, his armor clanking with every step of his beastly paws. This kaiju is certainly larger than life, and as eldest of The Seven, he has more than enough power--and confidence--to back it up. Of course, his entrance often belays the beginning of the end, and I can't help but feel a bit bittersweet as the nights draw to a close once more.
(Anthro, male: sold to Tarje on da)
30. [DOPPELGAENGER] I..don't quite remember inviting this guest to the party, has he already arrived..? I don't..I don't quite know what to make of him..or is that a her? It would be horrendously impolite to ask, but every time I look it seems as though their appearance has changed, at times they appear to look like a mirror image of myself..! Perhaps I will let this partygoer be, they don't seem particularly harmful.
(Special night! This is a semi-custom where the buyer is allowed to choose the themes from any combination of previous nights and pop them together into one horrific amalgamation!)
(Any species, any gender: sold to TreeofChaia on da)
31. [SAMHAIN] It seems rather vain to write about oneself, is it not..? I fear I must refrain saying too much until the 31st has come.
(??? species, ??? gender: sold to thenerdybirdy on da )
Uhh!! Hmm..tbh I think you might like Thalassophobia better? Swamp God is a little more realistic in terms of colors and whatnot because I based it off of an actual cryptid, while Thalassophobia is pretty mystical and alien looking, which is usually what I do for your customs in the past, if I remember correctly :0
