Great Sand Dunes, late summer.
One more from the recent adventure in the Great Sand Dunes. One of my favorite parts about the dunes was how light and shadow could play with the mutable sands. Sometimes it was the way the light hit the shapes of the sand, other times it was the lacy shadows to the clouds rolling across the mountains of sand. I'm for sure going back to this place at some point, as a child this environment had always struck a cord of awe in me, and in life this place struck a sense of wonder which I don't quite have the skills to capture via camera. This is definitely a source of inspiration!
Speaking of light and dark, happy (almost) Equinox! I'll be back to posting my regularly scheduled art next week, hope you all have enjoyed getting a peek at my adventures!
