You should totally get it and play it. I played the original one, I believe they did a remastered version.
Homeworld 1 was a breakthrough when they made it, one of the first, if not the first, with 3D space combat. Took me a bit to get used to it.
Homeworld 2 is nice, but I could never finish it because it makes you micromanage everything, down to the single fighter, and that's a bit too much for me.
Homeworld Cataclyms was a fanmade addon that got turned into a full fledged game. Way too hard for me.
