Well, Skiltaires, actually. This is Lenya, a fursuit built by Ostrich and worn by your's truly. Skiltaires are the creation of Mark Merlino and, well, I'll let Ostrich explain:

This is undoubtedly the longest it ever took me to make anything. Mark Merlino liked an Otter fursuit that I showed him in the summer of 2004, and gave his blessing to try a Skiltaire. I started Lenya that fall, just before I injured my back. He's languished unfinished between then and now, partly from pain and partly from frustration. At any rate, I'm much improved now, and I finally finished him up. I wore him a bit Friday night at Morphicon, and then Akea Grommet kindly wore him for these photos Saturday. I can see a few things I need to redo, but by and large he's done. I think he turned out really cute :)
Ostrich doesn't say but I also wore him for the masquarade judging with Ostrich explaining details of the construction to the judges. We took first place in the Masters category. Yay for cute space weasels!! Suit and photo by Ostrich, posted with permission.
