Here's one more 'photo-op' for my latest edition of "Throwback Thursday" - once again pertaining to the aftermath of "Hurricane Irma"...
When I'd returned home to Oriole Gardens in Margate (Florida), I was grateful that my brother Glenn was still alive, and his condo was up and standing (as was mine in the same complex).
In addition to that, there were some non-human survivors of the Category Four storm, including a family of Moscovy ducks - both parents and four ducklings - who we last saw on the Friday before Irma's arrival, prior to taking shelter. Sure enough, the family of six were all together on the Monday after said storm, huddled together in the parking lot, in a small rain puddle, surrounded by lots of broken tree branches.
Whipping out my tablet, I used the digital camera feature to take a snapshot of the ducky survivors, who were none the worse for wear, and continued to approach each Oriole Gardens resident for the usual handout of bread crumbs (as though nothing had happened over the weekend)!
