Matthew was a bully to Scott! If his father wasn't so abusive to the former, none of that wouldn't have happened! Jane wouldn't have told Scott about Matthew's sexuality, and Scott wouldn't confront the buck about it, and Matthew wouldn't push him too hard up to the point where he lied out of distrust and insecurity! And if it's any consolation, Scott shouldn't be friends with Matthew after that stunt he pulled! A child gets abused by a parent long enough, that's when you see what they're capable of! That buck may come clean now, but he still doesn't deserve friendship from Scott! Not now! Not ever! >:(

we all make mistakes, he sure messed it up but at the end he did the right thing, if scott wants to be friend of him or not is up to him, matthew is not the villain, he was also a victim for his father. Im not saying matthew is completely a saint, of course he messed it up, but he did the right thing at the end and had the courage to tell the truth

I will say that I understand that Matt just wanted the truth and was frustrated that he could just say. Hell it seem to me that Matt didn't really care about the age difference between Derek and Scott.
However, at the same time, he was being too pushy about it. I also get that Scoto felt that he just can't say he with Derek and I don't think Matt was trying to hurt Scott, but really both was going about it the wrong way.
