Quebec Map [Geography Lore]
Here's a map of Quebec after the Great Apocalypse, a lot of damage was done over the years.
Pillard Row (471 Residence): What was once beautiful Dolbeau-Mistassini has now turned into a collection of hovels and dens for looters and outlaws. In the back allies of ruined homes, shady deals are made and people are hurt. Pillard Row is home to some of the most devious crooks, which gives any honest man a reason to stay clear.
Alma (198 Residence): After a severe radiation leak in the town centre of Alma two years back, the town was forced to split in two. Most people who live in Alma are simple merchants, but due to an influx of raids from Pillard Row they were forced into the sewers to hide from bandits. Now an underground black market, Alma's residence sell to those willing to pay as long as they leave their arms at the entrance.
Saguenay (6,742 Residence): Although located east of the highly radiated Saint-Jean Lake, Saguenay is almost entirely radiation-free due to tight security and strict no-entry laws. Under the reign of their mayor Sebastian Noble, the town has managed to keep a considerably high population to the area's standards. A dense concrete wall guards the west half of the city, to prevent imminent raids from Pillard Row.
Saint-Jacques (175 Residence): A fairly new village was constructed northwest of the Quebec Ruins, due to an unusual mineral appearing in the area. The residence follow a wolf by the name of Jacques Bicarri, which originally found the mineral three years prior of the village's construction. He is followed like a deity, because he claims to have gained some sort of power from the mineral. The village is situated in a highly toxic area, it is likely that the residence are being poisoned by radiation.
Quebec Ruins (Uninhabitable): This once bustling city has been converted to a skeleton of skyscrapers torn to sunder, and flattened buildings. The city is a treasure trove for looters, the city is riddled with useful and undamaged equipment from before the Great Apocalypse. However, the area is dangerous to tread in, for there is a high radiation count as well as violent peoples exposed to the harsh climates. Many buildings are toppled and unstable structurally, which is why most people tend to stay away from Quebec City.
Zone de Rayonnement (Uninhabitable): Along the hills west of Quebec City, there lies a dangerous area deemed as the Radiation Zone. This area is so unstable, that the very ground itself cowers in fear.
La Malbaie Ruins (182 Residence): This riverside town of La Malbaie was struck with a massive mudslide after the Great Apocalypse, causing most of the structures to collapse into the Saint Lawrence River. However, residence were able to rebuild after the disaster. Now La Malbaie sits further inland, due to Saint Lawrence River's poisonous water. Residence here have access to a large amount of gas masks, which makes them a popular town to visit.
Candlelight (4,819 Residence): Rivière-du-Loup, renamed to the City of Light; or Candlelight as of recent years, has grown in popularity. the city is highly religious, with it's own merchant's guild to boot. With a port for imports by sea, Candlelight is of great importance to eastern Canada's trade economy. The cities' title refers to the city's high abundance in chandlers, or people that make soap, wax, and you guessed it; candles. The city holds a "Festival de la Lumière" annually, representing light and hope for the future. Candles are lit and placed on the streets and ports to allow the spirits of families to find their way back home, to Candlelight.
Docker Grove (720 Residence): This fishing town specializes in one thing: catching radiated fish and serving them. It's an unusual delicacy, that is (kind of) safe to eat. Like puffer fish, it takes a specialist to make; which is why it's such an attraction. Apart from the radtrout and toxicod special, Docker Grove is home to many merchants selling more clean fish for a cheap price.
Mont-Joli (184 Residence): This small railroad town has long since lost it's value after the Great Apocalypse. Although there is a small guild of blacksmiths in this town that specialize in steel and silver barreled rifles, not many people live here. Most residence here only stayed for the sake of living in their home town, but after the bandit raid there isn't much in Mont-Joli anymore.
