And one for the month and it was another suggestion from Chad at the club.
Let's dive into this one shall we?
Rocky Patel Decade Cameroon:
Wrapper: Cameroon
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
Pre-Light/Construction:
The box of sticks itself had a dark and mysterious look from it's black and gold appearance. From the hood of the box, there is a lovely screenshot of a tobacco field signifying what the cigar is all about. Quite honestly it's a nice image of what reflects the world of tobacco. The wrapper itself was a relaxed brown with a bit of an aged look to it. Slightly a bit toothy and rough feel, but firm to the touch. A bit of cedary pepper notes were present from the scent. Seems and Veins were present, but I ain't judging. Let's light it up!
The Burn Part 1:
The first few puffs were very loose and vibrant. Cedar and a bit of Red Pepper notes were the first to come. Usually with this type of combo, it would be over powering, but this was much calmer and smoother. I felt like I was outside on a nice sunny day. The sweet notes came in a little citrus form for the start. Eventually it was at a great start for balance.
The Burn Part 2:
With the draw still loose, but eventually becoming a little more snug for a better draw balance. Soon the cedar notes became a little more earthy with the red pepper calming down a bit, but not far away. It was to the point here my pallet was in pure bliss and comfort. The citrus fruit however began to disappear with a bit of cream coming forth to take it's place.
The Burn Final:
With the final few puffs on the way, the cigar itself was in a mainly medium body range with only a slim line on the edge of going to full. Mainly the earthy notes and the red pepper were still the leading notes for the stick. The cream stayed in it's place for the remainder till the last puffs. A cold a nice draw ended it.
Verdict:
Smooth and Sweet. Something that's good for any occasion anywhere.
