Well think about it, you don't just have a body, you have a body and then natural armor that has to mold to the shape of the body you drew. It's also segmented, and those segments have to look like they can go together and are sized correctly. It takes a lot of weird measuring and angling. The cannons were probably the easiest parts to draw, honestly. But drawing where they attach to the body and making that look like part of the shell is difficult, too. And trying to draw something bulky and large when my style is more sleek and lithe takes some finagling, y'know?
