Octavius doesn't know much about why he has to wear a canister on his back other than to fit in with his clique of alternate history buffs. People do allot of things to help themselves feel like they belong to a trend. This is is called building an association with something. People typically do this naturally and they just let their minds guide them to a set of interests that they find ways to express either by intention or happenstance. Are there people out there who force their way into a scene? Sure, its because they either have ulterior motives to simply having fun or something else in their lives just didn't work. They want to find something new. For us, furries are a pretty natural fit for who we are and our history with them started in 2002. We thought it was pretty funny to send our mind controlled kid spiraling towards furry hell, and his school peers gave him some seriously mixed messages over the cartoon animal fascination that some of us wanted to build in his mind.

The fandom was different back then, and we should have given Sanders a bigger push into it. We didn't though. Instead we had to be so off-limits with him - kind of like a nature expert that wont intervene when a rabbit has to fall prey to a snake. Like a snake, we'd break this rule and strike Sanders with our venom over this shit... Sanders didn't have knowledge of us in his life throughout this time.
