You know what Jimmeny Cricket always says: "When you wish upon a star, your dreams come true."
Raksha, Mowgli's wolf mother made a wish to the stars, because she loved her son so much, she never wanted him to leave. The stars granted her wish while she and her son slept, and come morning she was happy to see her little Mowgli was now a wolf, safe from ever having to go back to the man village. She couldn't hold back her happiness as she licked her son affectionately, making Mowgli giggle in delight.
Commission I requested from Fecu on deviantart. Fur color is based off the 2016 live action version of The Jungle Book, even if this has the animated version look to it. Call it a crossover of sorts.

More than likely. I mean, this is more based off the animated movie from.... I think it was the 50's, anyways, only reason he knew Mowgli was a man cub was by eves dropping on a conversation. And even if he heard Mowgli was once man cub and became a wolf pup, one of two things would happen:
1. He would pass it off as preposterous rumor, thinking such a scenario couldn't be possible, and just attack the next man or man-cub he he sees, leaving Mowgli alone pretty much.
2. If he did believe it, he'd let Mowgli be. He can't become another hunter with a gun, so what threat is Mowgli to him if he's a wolf pup who's part of a wolf pack?

Well, I don't think they would meet up with Mowgli. Only reason he bumped into either Kaa or King Louie, in both the animated and live action films, was because he left the pack. So, I don't think they're really a problem. And Baloo, he'll just sing his bear necessities of life, and find some way to get the food he wants without Mowgli's help this time. Bahgeera..... probably would help raise him and the other pups of the pack just like he was before the turn of events of Sheer Khan arriving in either film.
