I have a steampunk leather "corset" book that I've used as both a character prop and a sketchbook to take to cons.

The idea I had would be the book is Col. WulfBane's "field notes" where he would catalog information of the various creatures or other hostiles found on his travels. So I would take the book to conventions and get sketches from artists of different creatures and characters and fill in 'notes' about them.
