Journey is a fox man who began his life feral and then was forcibly brought into civilization and then trained into becoming “civilized.” His aforementioned training had made him very much disgusted by sexuality and anything featuring it. He often rips up porn magazine on site and despises women who sell their body. He use to be a very sexually driven animal when he was feral, but the process he was put through to become “civilized” messed with his head and now he cannot stand even the site of sexuality. He sees it as negative since he was told his old status as a forest dwelling creature was repulsive and not truly living. He regrets a lot of habits, mannerisms, and behaviors since they are still a part of him. He’ll try his best to suppress it all and It leads to immense amount of anxiety and caution around random people.
Despite the need to hide his natural instincts and behaviors, Journey tends to love running off to the woods alone to release his anxiety. He ruminates a lot while there. It’s habit for him to rationalize why he exists and why he’s where he is at this moment and time of his life. He wants to talk to people more but his outward anger makes him scared to start even a conversation with anyone.
He was offered a place with Deneva; a young bat lady who wants company since she lives alone. She’s the one who gave Journey his nickname because she didn’t like his “real name” and wanted to call him by something that fit him. Journey was given the name Jones Erdo when he became “civilized.” Journey really appreciates that Deneva is there for him, but he has difficulty in conveying his thoughts to people.
