Another piece for
bokracroc featuring his character taking a little stroll in the prototype of the xo-3 mobility walker. I wasn't prepared for a test subject so out of shape, even for his size

Hm, if I had the cash, I'd put in a pre-order for this model. But since I don't, I'll get the previous model at a discounted price when the new model comes out, and maybe trade up when the time is right.
I wonder how big the market for used mobility aids is? I can just see someone turning on the TV to see a commercial for the local "Used Mobility-aid lot"
"Here at Obese Dave's Honest Used Mobility-aids, We do all of the hard work for you, so you can keep focused on the important things, like eating! Waddle on down and take a test drive today! Every 20th customer gets a free cup-holder!"

Must say, I very much like this take on the practical market for such things!
Surely there's a fairly healthy secondhand market, though we do offer a buyback plan for used models that have been outgrown for folks looking to upgrade; and they're more often outgrown than having the occupant get too fit to need them, heh
That said, we do support resale and the used mobility-aid market; though we may just have to start offering free cupholders in order to compete

I'd say that at least a third of the market consists of "Licensed re-sellers" That get refurbished units from the manufacturer that have been previously traded in, and at least a ninth of them being the more shady dealers that sell you a unit that doesn't work correctly and you're just stuck with it because you didn't read the fine print on the contract.
That just means you gotta do the research to find out if where you are buying is a Licensed re-seller that uses genuine parts.
I'd settle for mine coming with an air-freshener that smells like pizza, myself.

Hm, making a case for some strict DRM software to make sure retailers are approved and keeping the quality standards. Of course, there may be some moderate spying and data collection, but you can trust us to only a little bit abuse this information~ Gotta keep people protected from the less-trustworthy salesfolks, yes?
That and we listen to our customers; pizza air-fresheners and affordable payment plans are very much on the table!
