This picture turned out a lot brighter then it was supposed to. I started drawing adult Rev when I was in a pretty foul mood, listening to one of my partners talking about how much they hate certain med calls, and the people that make them. I can't say I'm completely guiltless...we do have repeat, and...ridiculous folk in need of our assistance, but the disdain is something we all have to fight against the longer we stay in the business. That said, I also have that, 'oh boy! peeples needing my helpz' feeling of joy when I get mid level calls that bandaids and hand holding cure. The balancing act has created something completely new.

its slightly easier to understand if you speak fluent lolcat, i think by now you have translated it or decided it to be not worth your time, but my stepfather....*swallows, inhales, exhales slowly, continues* is a doctor in pain management... he ocasionally has patients threaten his personal welfare for specific narcotics...i believe this is a reference to this kind of behavior.

Everyone in medicine that I know hates BS calls, non-emergencies going to the emergency room, ect. That I can understand, but have you ever noticed no one has really been taught what to do when they have medical needs? For all the frustration and time loss it has caused, public awareness for addressing medical needs seems like a good idea. That is something that someone in the medical field would have to start though ;p
The personal therapy that is art.
I doubt I could ever got back into the customer (or in this case, public) service sector. Doing it for five years, for a length with working every day of the week, definatly gives you a sour disposition of people in general.
But even in my current job, I'm jaded for several reasons. It's not worth getting into, but I guess it just illustrates any job gets tiresome after awhile. Weither you just need a significant time away from the job, or perhaps a whole change in scenery is entirely up to you.
Of course, co-workers I find make a big difference to the disposition of your job. Having them complain about it certainly doesn't help, but sometimes they're the one great support you need.
Can't provide any cure-all for your problems, but I tend to just shrug it off and say "It could be worse"
