So they released a couple new albums worth of music for Pyre. Which means I’m legally obligated to binge and do more Pwink doodles.

it shouldn't be too much of a surprise as I'm doodling so much of it in my free time but that's what I enjoyed about it. If it were possible to get an entirely happy ending then all those choices wouldn't have nearly as much weight to them as you'd simply default to the optimum strategy and everything would devolve to a quantifiable sum rather than a moral dilemma. So yeah I did the best I could but some people still got left behind. Bitter sweet when all is said and done.
THANK you.
I love a happy ending, don't get me wrong... But in a game about choices? This game even posed a "No right or wrong" choice by allowing you to LOSE those trials, making it so even the enemies GENUINELY had a chance for ascension. That was important to see. The fact that it wasn't just "Good guys vs Bad Guys", that your enemies had JUST as much right to ascend as you did, by them working towards the criteria to get out... That was important to me, and I'm sure others. If it were just another game of "There's a way to save everyone", then it would be exactly as you said, and not only that, but people would focus less on the actual CHOICES they make, and more on "What's the 'right' answer?"
Personally? I didn't lose a single ascension trial, save one. Not because I was that good (Though I suppose I had to be TO do that), but because between the choices of my opponents and mine? If only a select few could be saved, well, I decided to draw my line, and took care of me and mine. All except for the the very end. The True Nightwing (Not saying much to avoid spoilers for those who read this), I didn't make a decision to let him up... but I -did- give him a fair shot, by turning on ALL the symbols. And while I won a few matches like that before, he was just too strong when all those were turned on, and won. After that? I told him to choose what he thought right, and he ascended. Done and done.
Apologies for the rant. :T
