This is the one hundred and sixty-sixith item, the one hundred and fortieth art piece, the eighty-third original piece and the sixth piece for 2017, since the formation of the museum.
This is a piece of fan art that was finished last month by
heli-port which features the 12th Germania during her time as a military observer for the Prussian Government during the American Civil War. This is likely set in 1864-1865 during the early stages of the Union Army of the Potomac's siege of Petersburg, VA., when she was observing the fighting in Virginia, after having spent the first three years of the war on the Western Front. She is shown here wearing her service uniform with an observer patch on her right arm, seated on a wooden bench while holding onto a tin cup filled with coffee, as she talks with a pair of Union soldiers, a sergeant of Sharpshooters, likely from the 2nd U.S. Berdan (I own a figure that wears the colors of that specially trained unit) and a pioneer in the army's telegraph service. I have no idea what they're talking about, but it'a most likely isn't about the war.

Probably to save costs. Still in the Polish country side there are still poles with electric and telephone wires. Cuz according to my father when he worked as an electrician. They are easy to fix. While cities have underground wires.
