As the sun lowers behind the dunes, giving an illusion of a Martian scenery, some whistlings and slammings tear the silence of the desert, followed by some far away explosions. Flying over the sea of sand at over 600 kilometers per hour, three shadows, in a perfect V formation, rip through the air purchased by a multitude of little black clouds.
At the lead of the formation, it's
Ortaon at the commands of his Dornier Do.435, following him on his right side it's
Milouthemagpie and his Messerschmitt P.1091 with a V tail from the Bf-109G-0 and on his left side it's me, in the SNCASO SO.8000 Narval.

No problem. :P
They all are prototypes of some kinds, the Messerschmitt is a mix of two prototypes of Bf-109, the G-0 with a V tail and the P.1091 with contrarotating propellers and a larger wingspan, the Do.435 was a variant of the Do.335 with one piston engine and a jet engine in the tail which remained on the paper and the SO.8000 was a French heavy navalised fighter which took the design of few jets of the time (So to know, indeed the Vampire but also the Saab J21R) but its also the only of the three that have been built and that flew, unfortunately, due to problems in the developping and in the price of the selected engines, it came too late and didn't interested anyone at the time (1949, the prototype have been finalised in 1946) and it was dangerous to fly at low speed (it had a VNE of around 750 km/h for a stall speed of around 140/130 km/h) but the engineers never were able to try something to solve the problem.

Thanks B. I must say that it's
Ortaon who first came with this idea, and once again,
Tales_foxdale did an excellent work to illustrate the idea!

But they "gave" me an engine and reliable guns! Rolls-Royce's engines were too expensive and Hispano-Suiza couldn't make a decent engine fast enough so I had to borrow one of their Jumo built under license by the Arsenal de l'AƩronautique... And as for the guns, who can say no to Minengeschoss?
And thank you Dai!
