I read some of the whiny comments and while it did make the mistake of covering the windows and some key markers, I do think they had at least tacit support from people at UP. The engine looks like it is on a dead-line awaiting rehab or sale anyway. There are several freights going by whose crews would have reported vandalism if they saw it. Guess whiners gotta whine...

But a good job on the artist's part. A little more thought on the markers and windows and UP woulud have had a really cool roaring animal for a lead engine. Might be a cool thing for UP's paint shop. Make a couple of bison heads to go across the plains, or a mountain lion through the Sierras. Maybe a gila monster for the deserts?
