Commission - A Loyal Customer
“Hey lard whale. If you can pull yourself away from that fridge for a second, this parcel just came by for you. At 3am no less. From the same company of that fridge you love so much.”
No words came from the hulking bloated rabbit, it was unsure if he even acknowledged his friend’s existence. All that mattered to him was to grab the nearest chain of freshly fried sausages that had materialised from within the Glaztek refrigerator. His rotund form sloshing and rippling with every beleaguered movement as he continued to eat.
“Apparently it’s an experimental assistance bracelet that I have to slap onto you for being ‘such a loyal customer’. That’s certainly one word for it…”
The slovenly rabbit, not even bothering to tear away from his feast, simply lowered his arm. A cold simple looking band was wrestled onto his fat wrist and flashed a blue light similar to the one his favourite fridge made. As it did so, his friend could swear for a moment that the eating machine was grinning to himself with deep pleasure.
The rabbit knew what would happen next. it was his second bracelet after all. It would just take a few moments to adjust-
“It’s good to see you eating for a change. I was getting a lil worried y’know, seeing your clothes so baggy and I could see your ribs…”
The rabbit was as fat and hungry as he ever was. In reality he should be bursting out of this house and overflowing into the neighbour’s yard across the street. But these new bracelets somehow folded reality around himself. To everybody else, he looked like a normal slim rabbit carefully choosing something to eat and having the occassional nibble.
“Not really sure why I came down here at this time… I’ll grab something and see you in the morning, alright?”
His friend leaned in, grabbed a small cupcake for himself and headed off to bed. Leaving a very loyal customer to continue his feast long into the night…
