A little study I did to play with some minimal styles.
Uses the TR8 606 kit and the DSI OB6.
OB6 is bae.

Yup! I'm a bit of a synth enthusiast, lol.
My current synth rig consists of:
Access Virus TI2
DSI OB6
TR8
Korg MS-20 Module (The DIY one)
Korg Minilogue
Cyclone Analogic TT303 rev 1.0 (the one that looks like the TB303)
I got a jp8000 too thats in need of some tlc too but I'm not counting that since I don't use it at the moment.
I'm also in the planning stage of putting together a nice little modular rig with a bunch of Erica Synths DIY modules and some of their fusion stuff but thats gonna be a while yet, lol.

Cool stuff! Definitely jealous of that OB6 though.
I also have a Minilogue and love it. More than I thought I would, even.
In addition to that I have a Prophet '08, HS-60, Alpha Juno 2, DX7IID, Microbrute, Moog Concertmate, some Korg Volcas, and a bunch of the OP series stuff kicking around.

Oooo an HS-60! That's an oddball! Nice kit list though! And the Minilogue is full of surprises for sure, I honestly got it because I was helping a friend of mine learn synthesis with it and kinda started to like it. Honestly, all things aside from it I particularly love the sync leads it does. They're searing and cut through really well! Still lusting after some eurorack though, lol.
Yeah the HS-60 is a weirdo. Juno-106 in a boring grey color and with some speakers built into it, so you always have to stick a headphone jack of some kind into the output to get it to SHADDUP. Definite oversight on Roland's part not putting some kind of on/off switch for that.
The Minilogue is a perfect beginner's synth! I tell people that all the time. I used it to do some tutorial videos on synthesis. The low end is kinda wimpy but it's got great mid and high range dynamics. Plays along fine with distortion/fuzz pedals, delays, reverbs, whatever. I don't care much for the built-in delay as a delay, but if you mess with the feedback it can serve as a kind of overdrive/distortion effect that is kinda cool.

Yea lol that does seem like an oversight since it makes it so noisy.
The Monologue definitely is kinda wimpy in the low end by its nature, but I've found that you can still get some beefy stuff out of it if you use that mono mode and sacrifice your polyphony which I don't really use when making basses anyhow so its not a big deal for me personally. For me the biggest gripe I had about it was that the filter kinda sucks out any low end when you start to turn up the resonance, but its not a deal breaker for me just kinda something I wish they would've done a little better with. Them again when I played a Jupiter 6 a while back it had a little of the same thing going with kinda surprised me but it sounded great. I'm not super well versed in electronics but I think it might have something to do with those style of filters not being gain compensated or something??? Not sure though.
Also Ill have to try that delay trick!
