I really love the flow of this image, the atmosphere it creates. It makes me think of that last day in fall, where you see that final leaf flutter down from the branches, and a cold chill whispers through the alleyway, carrying with it the tidings of a new season. He wanders the street, trying to hail a cab, but none will stop for him... because he's a deer, and his antlers would ruin the car's roof interior should they scrape.

I love that last day of fall!!! I used to have this big tree in the middle of my yard, and I'd throw a coat on and go sit outside towards the end of fall under the tree, and listen to music and be on my laptop, and wait for the last leaf to fall. Wonderful imagery. <3 Save for his antlers costing him cab repairs. LOL!

That sounds so lovely! Fall and Winter are my favorite seasons. The imagery of those seasons... I just love it all. Also, I just imagine him riding in a cab and his antlers scraping and hitting the roof, and the angry guy driving peering in the rear view mirror at him! :D
