So there's a European street festival that seeks to be like Folsom STreet Fair in SF>

It's somewhat... amusing when people make this comment...

Yeah Folsom Europe has been going on since 2003, so this was the event's 14th year and very well established... and is more about the community/people than the original event in San Francisco - as in, you walk around and 95%+ of people go there are serious about their gear/kinks/community... while Folsom San Francisco is more 90% causal tourists and way over commercialized.

I met people at Folsom Europe this year that are FROM San Francisco that hasn't gone to their own event, precisely because of the above reasons.

For me, I've heard so much and seen many photos/videos from the Europe/Berlin event over the years, that a visit is in order to experience it for myself.

Folsom Europe (Berlin) didn't just seek out to be like Folsom SF, it's better in terms of the original spirit (of the event) and atmosphere in fact!

Really, I never thought that Europeans would take after American customs, I always thought we were just too common and vulgar for the continent. I see so many movies where the American is so oblivious and naive, I figure that would be what we are to the rest of the world.
