I saw some walkthroughs to the game and I was so enjoying the classic rubber-hose animation that they did here. reminded me of the black and white popeye and Betty boop style Fleischer style cartoons from the 30's

Yes, I'm a big fan. :) Love Betty Boop cartoons and Popeye was my first favorite cartoon character when I was a kid.

They were mine, too, and I learned a lot about cartooning studying them long ago when I was a tad. To be honest, though, when I started drawing in earnest, made my first attempts to be a professional cartoonist, I had to fight against their influence- People said my stuff looked too old fashion looking, too "Olive Oyl-ish", or too underground comix looking. Fortunately, I had more modern influences to fall back on- Disney, Warners, the UPA cartoons, Hanna-Barbara, and Bob Clampett, for example- and finally got my drawing style in gear... Sorta, kinda, maybe. But I still love the old stuff; And watching the old Fleischer 'toons on You Tube is like visiting old friends.

Now that is a game we're talking about. Based on the classic Cartoons we all use to love back in the day. I remember saw the Trailer like 2 years ago i was like: "Damn, is this for real?? Must buy!"
