It's the third day of the month, so I'm posting pictures of my third character, who came after Amethystine and ArachNed.

Wow, it's been 7 years since I got this!
I always meant to write a story for this one, and I actually did write a good amount of it soon after the picture was done. Then some years after that, I wrote most of the rest of it.
So now, I hope I finally finish it. Of course, saying all this about how I wrote it in parts and how it's taken years will make you think that it's some huge epic book-length thing, but no! It's currently sitting at just about 15,000 words, which is pretty middling for me. It's about a down-on-her-luck fisherwoman (female fisherman? fisherperson?) who meets someone who, in her estimation, is a mythical entity. Merpeople don't exist, surely!
I'm sure to finish it at some point, maybe as another day's post for my 'posting once a day' thing this month.

There are an okay number of """sharks""" on FA. Of course, when I say """sharks""" I mean characters like this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/24990558/

Rick had a reputation at that time for being a totally clean furry artist, never drawing genitalia on his anthros. The fins in question are modified in males to be part of the male's sexual function. 'Claspers', they're called. Although I don't think they do any clasping, really. I would think the male's jaws do some clasping onto the female's pectoral fin while one or the other of the claspers is actually acting as an 'inserter'. >___>

After going through all your shark stories up to this point, I'd seen mention of these so-called 'claspers' and how they'd been treated. Up to this point I was a bit fuzzy on how they actually looked in the physical. I needn't any more detail!
