Anyway, another holiday season is yet upon us and time for the clusterfuck of commercialism to begin. I dislike the holiday season for many reasons, some personal being I can no longer do the things I used to enjoy from every holiday as an adult and he fact that each holiday beings up bad memories I wish to forget. Then here are some reason where we like to blow a holiday out of proportion and all the things that annoy me about that holiday come back.

Like for instance, Halloween, I cannot get through this holiday without hearing “this is Halloween” from nightmare before Christmas or still see merchandise from that movie spread everywhere. Yeah, I get it was a really good movie for it’s time and that’s a good Halloween movie for kids and young adults, but honesty GIVE IT A REST ALREADY! Another movie that annoys me that shows up every Halloween, rocky horror picture show, sorry everyone. I have seen the movie about 3 times in my lifetime and I still don’t understand what is so appealing about this movie. Others things that annoy me about the holiday, slutty adult costumes for women, bad horror remakes and sequels, a glutton of zombie movies and tv series (expect for the walking dead, that show is awesome!) and overpriced candy. But Halloween is probably the holiday a still kind of like because a lot of good things come out this holiday too, stranger things, the walking dead, American horror story, halloween specials, markoff’s haunted forest and other scary attraction in my area geared more towards adults. I just miss the days I could go out trick or treat or go to a Halloween party and actually have fun.
Now for thanksgiving, granted is not as big a deal as Halloween or Christmas, but for me it still begins up painful memories of my family, relatives I rarely got to see and probably will never see again. One thing that annoys about thanksgiving is musical parades, my dad as a tradition to watch them every year and I hate musicals. Let’s not forget the crazed lunatics that start their Christmas shopping on black Friday, people run into stores, trample and fight each other like wild animals just to get that sale on a product that really isn’t much of a sale. The only good thing about thanksgiving is you get a lot of food that lasts a while.

Now don’t get me started on the over commercialized clusterfuck holiday Christmas as become, it’s all about getting the last cool gadget or device or getting that really expensive gift and then the constant worry if you can afford both to buy gifts for your friends and family and money to pay the bills with and then feel like a horrible person if you don’t. and just everything about this holiday as turned into a competition. There is this show now where families compete between each other on how many Christmas lights they can put on their house, and I’m just like really!? The show is utter trash I tell you. Then there are the replays of the same old Christmas movies, like a Christmas story, I used to like that movie, but now that they replay it every Christmas for 24 hours I’ve had enough of that movie. Another thing that annoys me is hearing that one Christmas you hate plated a million times. Plus this elf on the shelf thing that has be trending lately, I’m sorry but that thing is creepy as hell and a kind of horrible thing to do to your kids. Then there’s the Christmas special spinoffs from movies, granted some have been good, but then there are the ones that really pandering and dumb. Granted there are still some good things about Christmas too, Christmas decorations, being with family or friends and going to see Christmas attractions. But every year I find it less enjoyable and greatly miss the days when I was a kid when it was enjoyable.
