Another Landscape of Super Randomness, this time of the Zone that represents the Ice Element: The Eternal Glacier.
This Zone is the largest in all of Super Randomness, and takes up most of the western region. It is a barren and frozen landscape that is made ENTIRELY out of ice. The average temperature of the entire zone is -274°F, making normal life near impossible to sustain in the frozen wastes. However, the zone has an unnaturally high level of Ice Chaos Ore deposits (which are mostly unstable) has caused a number of icy monsters to be born from the ice and snow, and they roam the zone in search of victims to freeze.
The zone is entered through the Snowy Grove Forest (which is not featured here because I couldn't get it to look right), a forest of pine trees that is always covered in fresh snow. This is the warmest area in the zone; never getting colder than 20°, but never getting any warmer than 28°. This forest is home to a small settlement of Ice Elementalists, who train in the harsh enviroment of the Zone to hone their skills. The only liquid body of water in the zone, Frosty Lake, is located here as well.
Once you are able to hike through the forest, you come out into the "Tundra Plains", an almost flat stretch of icy land that is constly bombarded by a near-unstoppable blizzard. The plains are also plagued by the presence of various ice monsters & spirits that seek warm bodies to freeze and/or enslave. It's dangerous, yes, but not as dangerous as the exposure to the sub-zero temperatures, which can get as cold as -300°. Only the most skilled of Ice Elementalists are able to survive there without proper protection against it.
Eventually, if you are able to make it far enough into the zone without being frozen, you will come across "Icicle Gorge", the "Grand Canyon" of Super Randomness. This large cut in the otherwise undisturbed landscape is actually a mining quarry, where Ice Chaos Ore is mined by Matt's robots (modified to be able to operate in such cold temperatures without freezing up). It is their constant search for stable sample of Ice Ore that has created the deep cut in the ground.
On the other side of the Icicle Gorge is the "Frostbite Mountain Range", an expanse of icy mountains that seems to stretch on forever. The largest mountain in the range is "Subzero Peak", the top of which extends into the storm clouds above the zone.
No one has ever successfuly climbed the mountain to the top before, however there are rumors about what lies at the top. It is said that the mountain's peak is carved into a beautiful ice palace. Exposed to Super Randomness' Sun Crystal, the light passes through the walls like a prism, creating beautiful rainbow patterns inside. As such, this legendary palace has earned the name "Rainbow Ice Shrine". It is said that this mysterious palace is also the shrine to Frostine, Chaos Spirit of Ice.
