He/she used to be a military officer
that worked closely with the very mage that betrayed them.
Falling into old habits of barking orders at ”their mage”
it reveals a fairly abusive relationship.

I would argue that this is more a drama
since agonizing transformations, political betrayals and bloody headhunts
are not that funny to a typical audience....

No offense but its robertge artwork. Comedy is always involved. and really, any fetish based comic will have comedy and levity. well, unless you're into 'Dark' stuff.
