Decided to take one immediate unwinding break before facing the finals! xD
Oh man! As soon as I saw Thunderlane in his Wonderbolt Uniform back at "Parental Glideance", I really flipped out!! 8D So immediately I started drawing lots of Thunderlane stuff to celebrate his accomplishment, anthro and not~
. . . Until now, this is the only one so far that I found time to . . no . . MADE time to finish rendering, and this only took me when another surprising episode just released, from the same season, featuring him again as a Wonderbolt, with a MAJOR role, that made me thinking to get something done quick! x3
So here's a Thunderlane Anthro Wonderbolt fanart to celebrate not just his achieving Wonderbolt status, but also finally moving forward from a background/extra character to officially now a secondary character! ^w^

Looks really awesome. I really love how it pops from the page and all the definition that shows through the suit and the way it stretches across his musculature. You framed it really gorgeously and I love how the colored shot in front plays off the black and white larger image in the back, really helps emphasize that grin and the pose. Beautiful work. Makes for a hell of a great poster.

He is a lot more caring and chilled in the episode, which is what I'd expect him to be. =)
But he still knows he's awesome when he shows of that determined face, like once when he was introduced as a special guest right after he landed in front of the stage. ^^

indeed. before this episode, he was consider chilled, but also way too laidback and a bit of a "pushover" as far as i recall his debut "hurricane fluttershy" ^^; . I really enjoy his portrayal in the most recent episode.

Yeah xD He didn't even fully enjoyed all those workout routine for wing power up stuff. Looks like he managed to get over it. =) But then again, we are seeing him acting as a role of a big brother. Who knows how he really acts when he hangs out with the Wonderbolts or somepony else that's not children. ^^;
I enjoyed doing this style of shading more than I realized. A little change of style was something I needed to make shading enjoyable again =)

well in "tanks for the memories, he seems to work at the weather factory, evidenced by him wearing a lab coat while dashie was playing mission impossible XD. but regardless, it's good to see how much of a big brother he really is.

That was just the smallest of all the glimpse. We didn't see hin talking xD But yeah, it's great that the writers finally established a story about what he and his little brother represents, plus adding some cutie mark issue to the mix, which is also relevant since Rumble is a blank flank. ^^
And that's true .w. but to keep myself challenged by going out of the box from time to time, now I am wondering how I'm gonna shade those other Thunderlane wips I still yet to finish. Doing the same kind of shading in a row kinda makes me get bored really fast xD
Maybe it's time to apply some purely cel-shading the next time around .w.

Indeed. I mean they gave development for soarin, bulk and now thunderlane. maybe it's a matter of time they'll do braeburn XP

Braeburn really needs to get out of his comfort zone about being around with his family members and cousins if he can deliver an interesting development of himself x3

I've been looking inspirations locally, going to literally plan buying actual inspiring artbooks of similar content, but mostly I tend to see gradient and comic styles shading on muscle-related artworks.
I'll definitely have fun on those shading styles with the rest of the Thunderlane art I have to resume coloring x3

Yeah artbooks are only good when you want to get used to drawing the basics: the real inspiration is definitely in finding good artists.

I have no ideas how they will portray Braeburn in the following episodes x3 Like I said, he really needs to get out from Appleloosa xD And Hasbro would also need to find ways to advertise him more.
Unfortunately I could not find extra time anymore for the rest of my Thunderlane pics to be colored x3 But figuring out how to make flat color art presentable was an interesting challenge on its own. ^^ I guess I'll just do cel-shading practice for future art instead. =)

I love so much seeing anthro bulked up Wonderbolt stallions in your art style, you draw such well detailed gorgeous muscular bodies and bring out the epic masculinity within the stallions!😍😁👍💪❤🌟🐴 I can't stop being impressed by how good you make the characters expressions and those amazing poses too!😄💖 Rumble is lucky to have such a great stallion as his big brother Thunderlane. The muscles look very ripped and pumped up, very good thickness and great size! I want to feel those big and strong pecs, abs, shoulders, biceps, forearms, thighs and calves.🥰💗💪
