An art-trade story for  AstroZone, about how dragons Spike and Mina starts to develop a bit of a friendship connection, while also hanging out a lot at Sugarcube Corner.

For those wondering Mina is a female dragon character that only appeared in the Issue 14 of the comic series "MLP: Friends Forever".

When living with just ponies around himself all the time it was feeling pretty nice for Spike when he could also get to meet a fellow dragon from time to time.

And he had been so lucky as to meet a girl dragon named Mina during a small visit he made to Fillydelphia, when he was a on a very important mission with Princess Luna.

Mina was a bit of a lovable geek, who was working at her very own comic shop. (Almost like the most perfect partner meant for Spike's own species.)

She also had a huge curiosity on the magical princesses, so when getting to learn that Spike was on a visit with the great Princess Luna she really started to like him a lot more.

Once done with the mission Spike did invite Mina to come visit him at Ponyville at some point, and Mina made sure to make that happen as soon as possible!

Arriving for the first time by train to the place was like a perfect dream, as not only was Spike just as kind and fun to be with as ever, but he also turned out to be a very close friend to Princess Twilight Sparkle!!!

After having been able to fully take in both meeting the Princess of Friendship (and her big crystal palace) Mina found herself starting to get starving, and Spike had a bit of an idea on were they could go.

Spike took them both to Sugarcube Corner were Pinkie Pie was more then happy to introduce some of her special baking goods to her new dragon friend.

This would also become known as the day when Mina for the first time ever tried out something sweet, and it didn't take long before she was hooked and just craved more from it!

Both Pinkie and Spike was very surprised by how much Mina was devouring so quickly, and it even took Pinkie having to grab entire stacks of pies and cupcakes several times before the female dragon seemed full and satisfied.

Rubbing her well stuffed middle Mina looked over at Spike a bit curiously and asked, "Aren't you also going to have something to eat?", to which Spike quickly grabbed a nearby muffin and ate it at his dragon friend's request.

When exiting the shop Mina looked over at Spike and said, "Gees Spike. Why didn't you tell me about this Sugarcube Corner place sooner?" as she was feeling at her own rounded out belly. "You have to invite me over here more times!"

"Oh! You really want to see me again?" Spike said a bit awkwardly, as Mina came up close to him (Her noticeable pot belly brushing up against his own smaller sized one.) and said, "I would really love being in your company again." making Spike blush slightly.

At the train station later Mina made her way to travel back to her hometown, and as the train started to roll she leaned out of her window and shouted at Spike, "And Spike! I hope next time you got room to eat more then just that single muffin!" before being gone for the day. (Making Spike feel like that was mission for him to fulfil tomorrow.)

A few weeks after her first visit in Ponyville Mina and Spike had started to make it a habit to go to the Sugarcube Corner every single time when his dragon lady was here, and it was really starting to show some signs of that!

Mina had now been adding on a bit of weight, as she was sporting a belly the size of an adult dragon, hips about as thick as boulders, and was overall being so heavy that she was creating small shakes into the ground as she walked! (Plus she had also been convincing Spike to follow her lead enough so that he too was starting to look like a much more chubbier version of his old self, but still nowhere close to the same league as Mina!)

Thanks to Spike having one of his best friends being a royal princess he now had the ability to have all the costs of spending times at Sugarcube Corner to be paid by Princess Twilight, meaning that he and Mina could just spend all day eating as much as they wanted and could!

"I'm just saying that if you have access to buy endless amount of sweets from this place, why not use that opportunity? Mina said to Spike as the two overweight dragons was enjoying some cake and cupcake. "It's just like when comic book villains has the hero in their grip, but then they have to start to monologue about it, and ending up leaving the hero just enough time to break free."

"You said it." Spike said as he was munching down on an entire Gingerbread House decorated with small gemstones. "I remember that one time me and my friends got sucked into a comic and had to be dressed as the Power Ponies. (And me of course having to be Humdrum) We had to face this villain called "The Mane-iac", and she at one point had all of my friends captured inside of a cage. Just there for her to end once and for all, but instead she kept on monologuing for several minutes! Granted it gave me more then enough time to save them all, but still..."

That's when Mina started to have a bit of a laughter and as Spike asked what was so funny she said, "It must have been a pretty bad issue if it had to include Humdrum of all to save the day!"

Spike had to admit that if you haven't been playing the role as he had, then it would make for a pretty laughable comic story.

Starting to finally feel full both Mina and Spike decided to leave the Sugarcube Corner for today (Much to the relief of Pinkie Pie), and as they were heading towards the station Mina just had to comment on how these snack dates had really been starting to show it's signs on Spike.

"Have you ever taken a good look at how your body looks like Spike?" Mina asked, which made Spike in return blush a bit as he held into parts of his belly flab with both hands and said, "I know I have been letting myself go a bit, but I swear that I am going to put myself on a diet very soon!"

"Actually..." Mina said as she joined in having her own hands rub and feel all over Spike's belly flab. "I was thinking that you have been slacking a bit in the gaining, and was hoping to see you try picking up the pace a bit."

"Y-You really "like me" like this?" Spike asked nervously, to which Mina just laughed and said, "I'm just thinking that it would be more fun if we could try keeping the same level of weights together."

Upon finally reaching the train station Mina had a few struggles to get inside her wagon, but once inside and about to go away Spike made sure to shout to her, "Mina! I will make sure to eat a lot so I will be ready for you when you return!"

"Sounds great! Can't wait to see the results!" Mina shouted back as the two dragons was split apart once more.

After a few more months of meeting and eating together Mina and Spike had been going through quite a few changes.

Mina had decided that having to constantly commute was a lot of waste on both time and energy, so she had been deciding to move her comic shop over to Ponyville and make herself a residence of the place.

This meant that there was a lot more time for her to hang out with Spike, and also a lot more time for the two of them to be letting their guts hang loose at Sugarcube Corner.

For Pinkie Pie on the other hand this just meant tons more work, as now most days would be just her having to serve an almost endless stream of sugary goods to two dragon blobs!

Spike had been able to keep his promise from before, as both he and Mina now was weighting in at a ton each!

They were so big that when wanting to go somewhere they both had to ride with horse drawn carriages that Spike had rented for them!

Still (somehow) their legs was strong enough to lead them for short distances, so Spike had both their transport vehicles to wait for them outside as they entered into the candy decorated place. (And yet it was always a game of risk to see if they would end up being to wide to get through the door or not.)

Sitting down it was a miracle that the stools was about to both fit their large rumps and not break underneath the weight, along with there still being some table left to place the food onto after both of their doughy bellies was eating up most of it!

It was a bit scared Pinkie Pie that walked up as she carefully asked Mina, "Uhm...The same as usual?" to which she got the very straight forward answer, "We will take everything that you have in the entire store! And once that's all eaten we hope you have had time to bake us some more."

Knowing that she had several hours of non-stop work ahead of her Pinkie quickly pushed over her well prepared stocks of Birthday Cakes, Wedding Cakes, Valentine Cakes, and even Christmas Cakes, all in hopes that it would give her maybe 5 minutes to catch her breath during her baking for the rests.

To say that Mina had started to become quite an influence on Spike was probably the understatement of the year, as Spike now was under the influence of that he needed to keep this weight gain race with Mina so he wouldn't risk making her sad. (But he had to admit that having all of this flab was making him feel both very soft and warm.)

For Mina it only made her feel even more like a spoiled royal, as she just felt so luxurious and pretty to be so huge and able to eat as much as she wanted with no kind of consequence to be have!

She did see all this fat as true dragon beauty, as she was digging her face silly into each cake, and just lover the feeling of small crumbs getting buried deeply down into her many folders of fat.

Once feeling temporarily full Mina let out a big burp, which also caused flames to start coming out of her!

Seeing the female dragon letting out some of her hot breath Pinkie quickly rushed out with a bucket of ice cream in her hooves, which she immediately flipped upside-down and poured down into the open gap of Mina to prevent her from accidentally setting the whole place on fire!

Getting a nice shower of ice cream down her throat was nice way to cool down herself, as it was pretty funny just resting for a moment and watch Spike trying his hardest to stuff himself and keep up with his dinning friend.

There was something fun seeing Spike never really give up, as he took his time to make sure he could find just one more empty area in his belly to fit that last portion of cake fully.

Sitting both together with a Valentines Cake getting squeezed into their big bellies it all just felt so perfect as she looked onto her shorter and still equally heavy dragon.

"I think I might actually be in love with my obese Spike." Mina said as she just looked on as Spike started to eat into the Valentines Cake, and started to wonder if maybe she should take a small break from gaining weight on her own?

"Bet he would look even cuter if HE ended up as the heavier one of us!" Mina thought to herself, as it was a plan she was more then happy to try out.
