History: Marcus was just your average everyday teenager except for the fact that he wasn’t he was in truth a Mutant with the ability to speak to animals with above average strength but other then that his physical appearance and likeness was human so he never drew much attention from his peers that was until one fateful day when Marcus was helping his history professor Raymond Keetz move around ancient artifacts he had collected from around the world he stumbled across an ape like African totem from Rwanda curious he decided to take a closer look at it but as he grabbed it he felt a surge of energy enter his body frightened and manic Marcus dropped the totem and ran straight out of the room going up to the rooftop of the school trying to calm down and figure out what just happened when all of sudden he heard footsteps coming up the stairs nervous he decided to hide watching from afar he saw one of his classmates Troy abusing his girlfriend Sarah wanting to help Marcus decided to intervene knocking Troy down despite him being taller in retaliation Troy grabbed a lead pipe and knocked Marcus across the jaw with it falling to the ground Troy prepared to strike him again as he was laying there when Marcus grabbed the pipe and bent it with his bare hands standing up he began to transform into an enormous humanoid ape beast smacking Troy aside like a rag doll hitting the nearby wall and breaking his spine horrified Sarah screamed in terror and Marcus was horrified at what he had become leaping from the school all the way to a nearby park becoming human again and running back to his home along the way passing by the bank he saw a group of high tech thieves overwhelming the police holding people hostage feeling the urge to help once more he transformed again fighting the thieves saving the people and destroyed a Hulkbuster the thieves activated the people praised Marcus not wanting fame though he fled back to his home changing back but finding that his human form was much larger but was to tired to care and rested until the next day Professor Keetz came by his home telling him that Troy was in the hospital but Sarah hadn’t given up Marcus name as he did save her and of the ancient power that now resided in him called The Great Ape Spirit and how it only chose worthy hosts with strong connections to nature and a great sense of righteousness and that it was now bounded to him for life Marcus wondered what he was going to do with this power but Keetz simply said The Right Thing smiling Marcus felt new confidence in himself and would face the future head on
