The other day I got the idea that it would be fun to offer a free "diy" (do-it-yourself) YCH (your character here), for Halloween, and this seemed to be a comically easy way to do it. xD
So if you have Photoshop or a similar program, you can alter this guy/gal just slightly (the eye, nose, and paw colors can all be changed) to make them yours!
I would do it this way (Photoshop instructions):
1. Right-click on the layer labeled "iris" (for instance), then select "blending options" from the menu that comes up.
2. Choose "Color Overlay" from the next menu, then change the color by clicking the rectangular swatch at the top of the window that comes up.
3. Hit OK!
I tried to find a VIDEO tutorial on how to do it, but they were all super complicated and not just changing the color of the layer, so. Sorry guys.
You can get the .PSD file to edit and customize on my Patreon here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/14656864
FOR FREE!
Hopefully this isn't too hard to figure out. Good luck! Enjoy!

You can also lock the transparent pixels (in the layer window, the little checkerboard right after "Lock:") then you can just use the paint bucket tool and it won't destroy the transparency. Or you can make a solid colour layer, put it on top then create a clipping mask onto the layer below (ctrl+alt+G or right click on the layer and "create clipping mask"). You can either make a regular layer and paint bucket it a solid colour or go Layer > New Fill Layer > Solid Colour and double click it to change the colour.
Just some alternative ways that might be easier or work in non-photoshop programs. :3
