The 30 Caliber 1906 Springfield or 30-ought-6/30-oh-6/or just .30-06 is a 30 Caliber rifle round with a bullet diameter of .304 inches (7.6mm) and a parent case of the .30-03. The 06 is for the year it was adopted, and was used up until the 60's in the US until being replaced by the 7.62x51mm standardized NATO round.
