Well, after reading this and Integration through and through there seems to be a small gap in the story line; while it is hinted greatly at I do wonder what had exactly happened beyond the remaining human forces launching nukes causing the Rynar to have either run with their tails between their legs or having suffered astronomical losses (near the end of the first act of Integration it seems to have been the Rynar losing a large amount of personnel also find it much more likely that the Rynar would stay and fight rather than to run). Personally I think the Rynar called in for a large portion of their fleet to take earth by an overwhelming force of numbers for the strategic value of--mainly--the uranium. I imagine once the reinforcements arrived above earth the United States and Russia’s president would have come to the conclusion that it’s time to cut their losses (which must be monumentally high at this point with military losses sitting at probably 60-80%, with total world human losses sitting at least 45-66%) and to initiate a hammer down-esque protocol where both nations would fire probably 10-20% of their stockpile (that would be roughly 1,300-3,100 Intercontinental ballistic missile and keeping the rest of the stockpile as back up to scorch the earth in flame to ‘save’ everyone from Rynar if need be; I can't even fathom what the sky would look like but I imagine people would describe it as the day the sun never set because of the number of nukes going off in orbit) at the massing fleet above earth as well as parts of the earth swarmed with Rynar, such as Australia. After the Rynar having taken such a horrendous and damning blow by the humans the UTO almost certainly would reconsider helping the humans.
As per usual, awesome job Hetzer!

Hah! Glad you enjoyed this old, old thing.
It's not considered canon to Integration, however. What happened here is subject to change in the current setting. In this version of the story, where the Rynar really were just a bunch of evil monsters, such a massive body count is likely. However the more recent rendition I do not imagine it as so high.
Also, uranium was special here, but not so in the Integration version. There, nuclear technology was simply an unexplored technology - obscure and left in the dark due to the predominant use of 'erestal' as an energy source.
As for a human nuclear response, I do imagine that has having happened in Integration as well. On what kind of scale, however... that's something I'll have to think about.
Thank you for reading this piece of my writing past. :)

When I continue Integration and bring it to the end, my next large project for the setting will likely be an Igneus Terra redux. Not a continuation of this one, but one that might be like it, but done in a way that conforms to my idea of the setting as it exists today.
Will have to see, though. I've another project in mind for the setting that could end up taking precedent.
