It's a shame.... 127 favorites and only a fraction of that even said something.
Then again, I can't quite say I know that person personally, so maybe everyone went to her and told her the same. I am commenting on this half a year late sadly.
...Mind you, there's a reason I can only comment one older work.
Still, I do enjoy the togetherness of this picture the most. First of all, it's the lighting that works quite well here. With it being low rather than bright and vibrant, it already sets the mood and shows that what's being conveyed isn't going to be all the happy. If I had to describe it as best I could... it would have to be the noir movie lighting where everything seems somber and distraught.
But that's my opinion of it. No one... really sees things in the same manner as I do anymore.
It took a moment for me to notice, but that's not a large blanket in the foreground of the picture. It's a tail. Rather large bush of a tail...but still a tail. Yet when I think about it, that's...absolutely perfect for this picture because it's being used as a blanket. Much like any large comforter, it's there for exactly that- comfort. Security. It's to give your friend in this picture someone to cry on, and show reliability and provide some kind of emotional stability for her.
I want to talk about the coloration here, but that's...not quite important to me. Mind you, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it. My only point is that the tint on the violet tone was raised more than normal. It's as if the violet/ blue color is the most dominate hue in the picture. Yet it's supposed to be because this isn't meant to be a bright picture. I suppose it's just something I noticed that... sadly no one else really did..
Yet what I enjoy the most here is the emotional content.
A friend that's trying her absolute best to show that she IS a friend. And that's what makes this picture so amazing to see, even if it wasn't directed to said friend herself:
A comforting picture that shows that it's ok to cry.
...That in and of itself is an absolutely beautiful thing.
In all truth I can say this is an amazing here Kayiko chan.
Absolutely amazing.
