F is for Fisher Cat. Fishin' for fish at the ol' fishin' hole, but something's come up fishy.

That's probably because no media features them prominently yet. Otters and ferrets are at least reasonably known in stories and animation, but fishers and martens, not so much. I guess all we can do is just add a few pictures here and there and hope to bring more attention to the animals (some of whom could use it, too).
It took me almost twenty years after seeing Minerva Mink to look up the actual animal and see how much cuter it was and how underserved it is, so a media presence sometimes doesn't help much (especially with a character who doesn't really look like the animal, though she is closer to her namesake than Taz is to a marsupial mouse). Mink has had a very close, personal connection with me since 2015.
I know what you mean with the media versions of animals not looking much like their originals. For example, Beast Wars characters resembled their real-life counterparts fairly reasonably, except for Snarl/Tasmania Kid/Bound Rogue who, although billed as transforming into a Tasmanian devil, resembled the real marsupial even less than Taz does.
