So my brother found some lovely plasticard to work with, it has beveled grooves in it to make a tiled floor for his miniatures, however neither of us felt comfortable cutting out a circle accurately enough... To the laser engraver!

Three passes is enough that the plastic becomes very fragile on the circle, making it very easy to pop the circle out.
