Halloween Heroes: Vanessa Signet and Kelsi Wong
I'm gonna do a couple of these because I'm having fun with it. So we're getting the obvious out of the way.
We have Vanessa and her romantic interest Kelsi dressed as the Tin Man and Modern Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. Why you ask? Well, if you didn't know this already, there was a common secret slang/code between the LGBT (mainly gay male) community. Because I know things from not my age group. And that phrase/variation of phrases is as follows.
"Are you a friend of Dorothy's?"
The reason for this is pretty simple. The original actress for Dorothy, ya know, the classic Wizard of Oz movie? I think her name was Judy Garland? Well, she was a gay icon at the time. She didn't care if you were gay or straight, her passion was singing and acting.
And ya know, people are people.
