It's implied in the asks that she has already gotten a taste of him, but we just haven't gotten to that moment yet.

Huh, with what DeathlessMaster said, that brings up a question....when a vampire in this universe bites you, does it hurt or do they employ something else to keep your mind off of the pain, or somehow nullify the pain all together?

The victim feels a bite. The vampire injects a neurotoxin that immobilizes, and then the vampire calmly drains the victim's blood.
The mind becomes clouded from blood loss, so pain is dulling.
The victim don't lose consciousness, it understands everything to the end.

Let's capture a few vampires to harvest the neurotoxin to make poison darts !
