Look at me be all experimental! Look at me go! WOO!
Didn't turn out as I had initially imaged it, but it didn't turn out eye-bleedingly awful, though... or at least I don't think it did. :/ I tried to go for that aesthetically sketchy look.
Did this at 3:30 AM while I was randomly pondering about things. And thus we will now proceed into the ridiculous musings that come when I should obviously be asleep...
For some reason my thoughts that night turned to the desire that most everyone feels to have their questions answered. Many accomplishments of mankind was brought about by his desire for discovery or for the answer to a question. And of course there is a questing on a personal level too, a quest of an individual's self-discovery. Usually just when we think we may even have ourselves figured out, something might come along that'll poke holes in our theories about who we as individuals are.
Despite how far humanity has advanced in our knowledge of how the world works, we still don't have all the answers. We don't even have all the answers to ourselves most of the time. Sure psychology can give us an understanding of what makes us tick, but one can sometimes wonder if there is a deeper purpose as to WHY we were wired that way. Depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain, but WHY is a certain individual afflicted with depression as opposed to another. Are they afflicted with a weakness that, if seen at with a certain attitude, can be used as an experience to help them fulfill their potential? Who knows?
Fact being, though, I don't think we'll know everything about existence or about ourselves and our exact place in this world. And maybe that's the way it should be. While its always good to seek an answer, sometimes there's also a certain beauty in the enigma of what we can't comprehend due to our limited experiences and abilities. There's a certain point where the accepted answer can only be "because it is."
And by this point someone is probably thinking "Shut the hell up, Krat!" I know it's no new revelation... people have been thinking about this for much, MUCH longer than I have. But still... it's one of those things that's always interesting to sit back on and reflect about for a moment.
... I should probably stop thinking of things at night. :/

The opossite thumbs don't make us humans, this is what make us different from animals, the fact we try to see what's beyond. I'm with you, thre will alyaws something to explain, beacuse the day everything is explained the world will become dull and boring. AND EVERYBODY WILL KILL HIMSELF!!!!!
I know what it is to be in night thinkin weird shit, Its cool, horrible the next day, but cool. XP
and it's better when you stay all night talking with a friend about it.

Why...such a strange question, is it not? So much is packed into one word. Such a simple question, but (as you have said) it is nearly impossible to always answer.
Of course, I think as humans there are things we aren't supposed to be able to comprehend. Like, things we aren't supposed to have an answer to. Like, if you ponder on eternity; it's just mindblowing (for me anyway) to try and think about the concept of forever (like the universe, or from my spiritual standpoint life after death). Like, I just can't grasp it.
Ok, enough rambling. I love the picture, and the colors in the word "why" are just great.

I know. It really is. There's almost an irony in the fact that it's so simple of a word and so easy to ask.
I think so to. There's always that drive to discover what we can never know, and that drive is probably a good thing. And eternity is pretty mind blowing once you think about it.
Thank you.

Somehow, I kinda getting more and more confuse when I think of it..I want to know about myself and my role in this world...And when I think again, does everyone including non-furries think the same?..And is it relevant to find the answer? This kind of thought always giving me a headache.
Anyway, nicely drawn!!!
Anyway, nicely drawn!!!
This reminds me of a bit that Louis C.K. did about some kid who wouldn't stop asking "Why?" There's only so many levels of "why" that can be answered before one doesn't even know or is driven insane.
Buuuuut enough of the digression, the sketch look is pretty good. I like the way the lines in the same general idea tend to face the same direction rather than every which way.

The part I'm talking about starts at around 7:14, but the rest of his routine is still pretty funny.
