Entry 8:
Not to say the dreams from before hadn’t freaked me out, but this one got to me. It was directly and I mean directly linked to my physical well being for sure this time. It had to do with my recent neck pain that arose from my poor sitting posture. The dream began with me at my work desk. Nothing felt off about it. My neck pain was there like it had been before. Though something about the pain felt unfamiliar in practically a split second. My neck tingled and twitched to put it best. I ran my hand across my neck and I could feel my veins. They were bulging out of my neck as if something was constraining them. Then the pain grew too unbearable to keep my head up. I held my head in my hands and rested it on my desk, face down. Then a crack. My hands had felt my head move but it wasn’t because of me. CRACK. Another sound and I felt my head move again. Then the cracks continued and I felt sick to my stomach. Putting my hand on my neck again, it had gotten longer. Then the cracking continued on and I took my hand off my neck, trying to just support my body as the pain got worse. My neck was growing longer and it wouldn’t stop. Every pause fooled me into thinking it was over, only to continue again and again. It started growing rapidly with no pauses to keep me momentarily comfortable. My head eventually hit the wall my desk was against hard. I gritted my teeth and scrunched my eyes shut. I opened them to see a morning sun blaring into my face. I tried to groan but my neck cracked as I got up.
