Fae Generations - Khukhukhi on the Move
A member of the steadily declining foxtaur race, Khukhukhi Kokohro was born to a small pack in Khururun (Khukhu) Forest, seven miles west of the Winterlands.
Even as a pup, Khukhukhi's need for speed was painfully obvious. While not the fastest taur in her pack (and even her age group) by a wide margin, her love of running surpassed that of her peers. Whenever Khukhukhi was awake, she was doing 20. However, it was this very obsession that separated her from her pack.
Long story short, she met a wolftaur who'd found himself in a similar situation, and the two found themselves recruited as soldiers in a war between two neighboring kingdoms.
What she's wearing on her back isn't a saddle. It's magically re-enforced leather armor. Even as a messenger, Khukhukhi is allowed more armor than this, but she's being cocky.
The strap she's holding onto is a special addition for speedsters called 'taur stirrups.' While taurs technically have one spine, there is a cluster of nerves between the second set of shoulders that helps to regulate the motions of the lower body. Despite this, there is a bit of a disconnect between the upper and lower bodies. While taurs can run perfectly well in a straight line, changes in speed and sudden turns sometimes muck them up. However, the nerve cluster can be 'trained' to respond to certain stimuli. By tugging on the stirrups, Khukhukhi can take sharper turns.
Khukhukhi lived during the Breed War Era.
