When I go to cons I am reminded how many better people than I there are, but I can still draw what I like to my reasonable satisfaction, so I do. 83

I managed a world first perfect in this game series I like. I don't feel all that proud, I just feel like I have more extra time than anyone else :P

there will always be some one better then you, all the time, i see it all the time.

But, just cause their better, doesn't mean you should stop trying, there are people in the world that look up to you, you may not be the best, but your not meant to be, your just meant to be you, thats the person we all look up to

Your art is beautiful and your style is unique, your style may not be the same as others you perceive to be better, but that does not mean they are better, just different. Your art is gorgeous to me and just up there with allot of the great artists in my opinion. I for one feel your art is great just as it is and am glad you draw.

Its a feeling that just plain sucks and sometimes its just hard to get over. But yes, I definitely understand that feeling all too well.

You're right. Unless your name is Tiger Woods, there's always going to be someone better than you.

But even Tiger has an off day now and again.

Don't let the fact that some people draw prettier pictures get you down. It's not a contest.

And besides, there may be a hundred people who are a million times better than you, but there are a million people who are a hundred times worse than you. And nothing's stopping them from posting.

I think we all feel that way about something or everything every once in a while. God knows I've felt that way a lot about art and a few other things, but it doesn't discourage me to the point of giving up, though. (Naw.. I have other better reasons for that.)

*smiles* While 'better' is relative to the viewer, I think this is something every artist goes through reguardless....and while a touch discouraging at times, it also gives you something to reach for. :)

I know your level of 'natural feel' in your work, even the quick things, is something I wish I could do. :)

The only advice I can give is this:- Everyone feels the same way sometime or another, and look at all the friends you have supporting you! Why let the others who are better get to you? Use that as motivation to challenge yourself to improve!

Wow... I'm looking at a pic of Sachi feeling discouraged that her art isn't beter than she feels it should be... and the pic itself is a billion times more exquisite than anything I could draw... O_O

Sachi... last time I saw your home page you had something like 13,000 pageviews and almost 5000 faves. You deserve them. You are a great artist.

I just look at the millions more who can't draw nearly as good as I draw, instead of looking at the thousands who can draw better. :3~

I understand completely. Sometimes it gets to the point where I'll go for weeks without even looking at a pencil or sheet of drawing paper. Then one day, I pick it up again and my style's totally different, and people seem to like it. It's taken me a while to get where I am now, which still isn't that great. But. I try. =/ It's really all we can do, y'know?

just think, you are better right now then some people will ever be in their entire lives. and you improve every day.
