After an awesomely long weekend of visiting and biking on the beach and drinking beer at hippy restaurants in the woods, I have to thank Bird's for this wicked (ghost) portrait. I, of course, had a stand in as I'm much too busy and popular PPHHHHH!

I like this more than most attempts at that "a-fur-in-people's-clothing" kinda deal. Know what I mean by that? There's gotta be a better word... ah well, love it.

wait wait wait! I wanna know more accurately what you mean by that. It seems most furries are drawn in (people) clothing. I'm curious how this one is different ;) Partly because I'm a raging advocate of furries dressing up classy and with style - something that's allll too rare...

oooooh nonono, I'm talking about this particular art style. Essentially redrawing a scenario/portrait and turning the subject(s) furry. Is that what you meant by ghost portrait? :O

Yeah, in a sense. Heh, it's accurate what you're describing, but add to it the fact it wasn't actually me who was standing their for reference :) I don't care! I'LL TAKE IT!

Personally, I prefere furries absolutely naked. But if you MUST wear clothing, this is a classy example. Something very soothing about the scene.

ive seen this before and it really stuck out at me for various reasons. one because its setting, composition and perspective are incredibly original... and for some reason it reminds me of Waking Life.

dude, good points. It is an abnormal angle by which you'd normally see characters presented.
And your comparison to Waking Life is spot on because I'm pretty sure she drew this based of a photograph ;)

Yah, it's kind of spooky how well she nailed the inside of my place. It's so sketchy but at the same time photographic like. Weird...don't know how to explain it!

At first I could swear this was a technique called rotoscopy, but I'm really unsure about it. I just know it looks awesome and original. Very well done.
