WOAH, BACKSTORY???
Slipper, project designation of K-0R, is a byproduct of experimentation with replicating genetic material. Haivng been considered a beta version, he was to be a template for future experimentation in which soldiers and fighters could be replaced in the manner of days. Due to an outside source however, K-0R became the only one to ever be finished, as the project was shut down shortly after an official was horrified at the moral ramifications of cloning and mass producing people.
The slimey goo that Slipper is made of seems to self-replicate itself as the template unit, he could dribble and drip all day but be no less of what he is. Any resulting 'lost' mass is as useful as a splatter of jelly on your floor. Its a little sticky but ultimately useless.
The chest piece he seems to 'wear' is a temperature control unit, Slipper enjoys warm environments as colder things tend to make his body sluggish and hard to move. It's like wearing a nice warm wool sweater all the time, extra toasty.
The legs were refurbished mining droid legs that were also to be made for templated soldiers, however with that project shut down he has the only pair they had the time to make and as such looks after them as best he can. Made of a durable, experimental alloy (along with his chest piece), Slipper is quite a durable sort, and the equipment is only released if he wills them to. They cannot be 'removed' unless one were to pull him hard enough, or freeze him and break them free, etcetera.
Slipper's personality is slightly introverted, he feels he was somehow at fault for the project failing, and is quick to blame himself for any problems he may be around to have potentially caused. Ultimately, Slipper means well and likes to talk about places and things he hasn't seen. The lab workers who made him consider him an equal in their efforts, unlike most 'created specimen' tropes, Slipper/K-0R is treated kindly and given freedom around the complex he was made, both out of the fact he is one of a kind and because he has bared no ill will to anybody since 'birth'. However, being a military product, one born of a 'morally disgusting and legally insane' project, he isn't allowed to leave the research base on which he was made. He's allowed to walk around outside at least, as the base is in a rather remote location under surveillance.
Slipper can potentially create more mass to himself should he need to, but it taxes him mentally and often needs to nap if he has to exert. His fluid mass can digest foods it seems, and whilst he may not have the ability to taste food, he enjoys looking at it and considers it an honor to be allowed to eat specially prepared cuisine as the goo understands and appreciates culinary preparation.
In his free time, of which there is a lot, Slipper enjoys just being near others and learning about their lives. It didn't take him long to pick up the language, but every so often he'll get the wrong tense or speak in third person by accident. Almost everybody in the base likes his company, because he shows such interest and passion in their work. Hearing about 'The Distance', as he calls the outside world, is perhaps his number one favourite thing. Elsewise, he offers to help the lab workers do their busywork. There was a brief time he was a mess hall cook but that didn't really work as one can expect.
One interesting quirk is that Slipper learned to smoke from watching some of the security guards, however he doesn't really quite 'get' it and often just wanders around with an unlit, soggy cigarette in his mouth. Lacking lungs tends to be a factor in not smoking proper either.
Slipper is quite uncomfortable when asked about where he came from, he considers himself quite pathetic! This stems purely from when he overheard a government official call the project 'abhorrent and incredibly unethical', placing the blame on himself despite it far from his own. That being said, he doesn't ask about it or feel that finding out about it would help. It isn't that he won't be allowed to know about the cloning attempts, more that there isn't much more to say about it, and dwelling on that won't be a help to anybody.
