wood and stream oh come and take me, take me to your heart of gold , give me sight to see my life now as i never did before. i went into the urban masses seeking love and maybe gold but instead i looked around me and in time i found my soul. but to face this meant to challenge everything i knew before, so i must go to the woods now and give myself the time to grow. when i got there i discovered what i had missed for all my years, so i started to uncover that wolf like strength that knew no fear, and in time understanding what it meant to be set free so i learned to let the flower open on the tiny tree. just beginning then to realize that the flower would not last but the tree would grow in splendor thru the seasons which would pass. so the tree would come and go while the earth would still turn round. i just stood there with my new knowledge and uttered not a bastard sound. far beyond the pomp and dogwood see the spark that lights our soul, know that bird, beast, man, heaven and hell do dwell inside us all and that spark witch lives within me will not die but will pass on joining with the mighty forces, wood and wolf and sparrow song. wood and stream oh come and take me, take me for i have no fear, for this body once so proud will feed the earth and all she'll bear.
