Hi, folks!
Watching at the stats of my gallery, I've noticed Tani, my main OC, is far behind in popularity, compared to Seti and especially Umbra.
I find this quite surprising since wherever people note or chat with me about my gallery and characters, it's either about the Milkyverse dino ladies, especially MC Blue, or Tani.
Also, the most popular Shakyn-related pic doesn't even feature Tani or an permanent member of the Shakyn family. (for those wondering it's THIS ONE starring Victoria, an OC of
mrmadhead who was gracious to give her a one-time (OK, two-time, since there were 2 pics) Shakyn form and I thank him a lot for that )
So, I've been wondering: if people likes hir for what shi can do, is it because of hir complex and alien design shi isn't a favorite in my roster? I know not all artists are willing to draw hir and I can understand that. That's one of the reasons I made Seti.
And if so, would you be more likely to view and fave pics featuring hir if shi had (a) different form(s)? After all, shi's a shapeshifter and hir actual humanoid form may not be hir real one but hir favorite. Also, which kind of forms/species would you like to see hir as?

I've always liked Tani for how shi looked, it was one of the reasons i grew a big interest in this lovely lass, despite hir appearance, i honestly dont believe a change of character form is really need it, but if you believe its need it, i'd still fav and love hir as i always did.

You kidding? She's awesome. Wouldn't mind seeing her show off some of her shapeshifting, of course, but "normal" Tani is more than fine.
As for lack of popularity, it's no secret that fanart usually gets way more attention and praise than original characters (except for fan-characters, where it can go either way). And, this being a furry site, it probably doesn't help that Tani isn't any sort of animal; Seti is an eel-naga-fishy-thing, Umbra is a fluffy werewolf (canines in general tend to get a lot of love), and most of your fanart involves other sorts of furry-type individuals (on top of the aforementioned fanart factor). While I do love Tani's design, it's not surprising that most furries are more interested in characters that are, well, furries.
Also, she hasn't been featured in many of your more recent uploads, so that adds to the lack of recognition. I'm sure it'd help matters if you showed off more of what Shakyn magic is capable of, especially for those who haven't seen the earlier pages of your gallery, where such things were more prominent.
ALSO, it likely also has something to do with lots of people mostly wanting to see what happens next in the Milky Circle saga; your versions of Blue & friends (& enemies) are wonderful and we can hardly wait to see which way the story goes next. I have to admit that I, too, primarily visit your page hoping to see more of that, but it's always a nice surprise to see Tani's big toothy smile, especially when growy shenanigans are involved!
